Machacado Omelette

This traditional omelette is a delicious meal that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. It very simple to make and provides plenty of protein that will energize you throughout your day. This recipe can be enjoyed with a side of homemade salsa, avacado, and even a little bit of goat cheese.

  • 1 oz Alamo Sun Dried Beed Machacado
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼  white onion, finely chopped
  • ½ bell pepper (or 1 jalapeño for spicy flavor), finely chopped 
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

Step 1 Turn on stove to medium heat and add butter on medium pan. Tilt the pan to move the butter around, making sure it is evenly spread.

Step 2 Add chopped onion, tomato, bell pepper/jalapeño to the pan. Stir as needed for about 5 minutes until softened.

Step 3 Add Alamo Sun Dried Beef Machacado to pan and mix with previously added ingredients. 

Step 4 Crack eggs into a separate bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper and whisk until completely combined. Add the eggs onto the pan, making sure they are evenly spread.

Step 5 Allow the bottom of the omelette to cook for about one minute. Then, slightly push the egg on the edges towards the center and tilt the pan around to allow the uncooked egg reach the hot bottom. 

Step 6 Using the spatula, fold the omelette in half and slide onto plate. Enjoy the delicious omelette!
